Updates - "Fee" vs "Free"

Before proceding to the download page, please double check the message that directed you here, and the version of 3D-Tool that you are licensed for.

Major versions (fee), eg. 13, 14, 15, 16...
Minor versions (free), eg. --.10, --.20...

Updates within a major release are called 'minor' version updates. If you own v16, but are not yet at 16.40, then the minor version update is free of charge. You will not need a new License Key, just download, install, and you are on your way.

Updates from your old major version to the latest major version of 3D-Tool are subject to an Update Fee. That fee can be paid using our Purchasing page. On the next business day you will receive a new License Certificate and Authorization Key for the new Major version.

What Version do you have?

To see what version you have, open 3D-Tool and go to To see what version you have, open 3D-Tool and go to Options > About 3D-Tool

Look for:

• Version
• Serial Number
• Type of license
